New Friends/Pimp Me Out

Several other folks are doing this, so I thought I would get on the bandwagon so to speak.  Although, I do not think I have seen a bandwagon since the last 4th of July parade I attended two years ago.

You might consider posting a "Sticky" post so there is some content where new users can request friending. There is No message at all when a prospect goes to your journal.

I know how hard it is to find people to add. For a while I tried introducing people who I read as a continuing series on my journal. It is really disconcerting that so many people have left, are never coming back, and never deleted their account so my friends list is full of the unresponsive.

It happens. I am going to stick this out. It is useful to me, if for nothing else than as a record of my own life.

Even regular blogging seems dead. It is a world of Twitter and Tumblr now. And we know how meaningful those interactions are.

Also, not quite sure how to make a "Sticky" post.

There is a check box just below "Adult Content" and just above the posting button on the Old form. It says "Make Sticky Post" When you do that, that particular post will "Stick" to the top of the pile. It will always be the first message displayed when someone new comes to your journal. That way you can write a generic welcome message that will always display.
